The property is set on the waterfront of the St. Lawrence River in the Thousand Islands , Clayton NY. The garden comprises of 7 terraces from the parking down to the down to the water and boat house. A J Miller Landscape architecture used these terraces to provide patios and gardens for access and enjoyment throughout the site. Local stone was used to create the hand built stonewalls and veneer the stairs and walls. Lilac Bluestone pavers are used on the patios and steps. The plants selected all were chosen to withstand severe cold and windy conditions, and the limited depth of soil as bedrock creates dry conditions.
